Helen Woodford

My work ranges from detailed observational drawings to architectural studies, bespoke wedding stationary, thoughtful gifts and art work for children. I use photographs and sketches as a starting point, and historical research if applicable. I have a degree in Art History so I am always interested in the background to my subjects.

My work is mainly pen and watercolour in conception which can be digitally manipulated if required. I love the variety of tones and colours that can be achieved in the paint. A fine pen gives me the crisp quality that characterises my drawings.

Many of my bespoke pieces occupy pride of place on mantlepieces and walls across the country. I feel very honoured that people choose to put my artwork up in their homes and that I have been given an insight into their lives in order to create something they will love.

Nothing brings me more joy than capturing the essence of a day…a moment…a life…a
memory.
